Are the leaves furry but prickly with spots?? It looks along the lines of something I have in my garden that I've forgotten the name of !!

yup, that's exactly what it is mel, thanks, but i much prefer 'raspberry splash' than lungwort! ;)
Lungwort that's what I was thinking of.Mine's no where nearly as far advanced as yours.
it actually flowered yesterday, but our maples are not as far advanced as they are out there!
It flowered yesterday...wow ! Mine's coming through but it grows quite busy,i think it will be a week or 2 before it's flowerering.
finally something ready to bloom in the garden, but i have no idea what it is!
